Bird'snest-shrimp-pork rice


113g soaked superior bird’s nest 
113g lean pork 
75g shelled shrimps 
225g long-grain rice 
1 cup stock

¼ tsp salt 
1 tsp light soy sauce 
½ tsp caltrop starch
1 tsp oil


  1. Drain bird’s nest. Simmer with 1 cup of stock for 2 minutes. Drain.

  2. Remove veins from the shrimps. Wash and wipe dry. Add pinch of salt, caltrop starch, eggs white and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside.

  3. Wash rice. Put into a pot. Add a suitable amount of water. Cook until the rice is almost cooked. Place pork, shrimps and bird’s nest on top of rice. Turn to low heat and cover until the rice is cooked. Pour a suitable amount of cooked oil and light soy sauce on top. Mix well. Serve immediately.
